Dr. Mainier is available by appointment only.  Simply calling to make an appointment:   (814) 923-4025 Erie, PA. OR

Office in Pittsburgh, PA, Ross Twp.

Dr. Mainier is double board certified in Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine. Her fellowship in Integrative Medicine is from the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, founded and directed by Dr. Andrew Weil. She is also trained and competent in  Functional Medicine.  She is a Medical Acupuncturist, having completed the highly acclaimed Helms Medical Institute program in Berkley, Ca.

After becoming disillusioned on the pervasive use of medicines and technology as the only “treatments” for chronic conditions in traditional practice, she chose not to continue on that path. She noted that nutrition and lifestyle education were minimal, at best. Patients did not get better, but increasingly required more costly medications and procedures while quality of life gradually diminished and dependence on the "system" increased. Regarding past medical experiences, she elaborates:

“While most patient’s symptoms are eliminated, patients rarely become "healthy". Focus is based on ‘getting lab numbers down’ and  eliminating complaints. Treating "disease" without regard for the whole person is mainstream. The incorporation, or even consideration of 'healing', in the conventional medical process is a rare finding.
This philosophy does not align with my purpose of being a physician. In my own practice, the goal is to guide clients to understand, discover and participate in the healing process. It requires realizing, learning and accepting that the human body has an innate ability to heal itself when subjected to a restorative environment.”
Dr.  Mainier provides that environment for each client’s “journey toward wellness.” She continues ongoing training by attending a myriad of medical conferences and educational opportunities that encompass nutrition, functional medicine and evidence-based alternative therapies.

While Dr. Mainier is board certified in Family Medicine, Salus Integrative Medicine utilizes a program designed to work in partnership with your primary care physician (PCP), not as a replacement, to promote wellness.

  • She is not and will not be acting as your primary care doctor.
  • Although Dr. Mainier will respond to concerns regarding your care with her, she is in solo practice and is not on call 24/7.
  • Patients must rely on their PCP for their primary ongoing medical concerns.
  • Current patients may refer to Dr. Mainier for questions regarding office visits with her.
  • She will not fill prescriptions for those medications prescribed by the PCP.
  • She does not prescribe pain medications.
  • Phone consultations greater than 15 minutes OR resulting in an encounter, will be charged a fee.
